Christmas Mini Sessions are returning to my Llanelli studio for 2026 — and this year's setup is all about classic Christmas nostalgia.
Think Ralph Lauren Christmas campaigns, 90s American Christmas movies, traditional decorations, cosy textures and that beautiful, timeless feeling of Christmas morning.
If you're looking for Christmas mini sessions in Llanelli or Swansea, this year's sessions are designed to create photographs that feel festive without being overly themed or gimmicky.
And with just 9 sessions available, these are going to be very limited.
Christmas Mini Sessions 2026
This year I'm going for a classic Christmas look inspired by the Christmases we all remember from childhood.
Think:
Traditional Christmas trees
Cosy textures
Classic Christmas colours
Vintage-inspired details
Beautiful traditional decorations
A little bit of 90s Christmas movie magic
That warm, nostalgic feeling of Christmas morning
The setup will be similar in style to previous years, but this year's set will be different.
I've designed it with beautiful, timeless family photographs in mind — images you'll still love looking at years from now.
Who are the Christmas Mini Sessions for?
These sessions aren't just for little ones.
Siblings and families are very welcome.
Each session can include:
Up to 2 adults and 3 children.
So whether you'd like photographs of your children together, siblings playing, or your whole little family, there's room for everyone.
Christmas is about being together, and I want these photographs to capture that.
What can we do during the session?
Christmas Mini Sessions are designed to be short, relaxed and fun.
I'll guide you through the session and capture a mixture of natural expressions, interactions and beautiful portraits.
And don't worry if your children aren't particularly keen on sitting still!
Some of my favourite photographs happen when children are simply being themselves.
There will be opportunities for individual photographs of your children, sibling photographs and family photographs, depending on who you bring along.
The aim isn't to create perfectly posed photographs where everyone has to sit completely still.
It's about capturing your children at this age, at Christmas, together.
How much are the Christmas Mini Sessions?
The total price is £100.
To secure your session, you'll pay a £25 deposit when booking.
The remaining balance is £75, bringing the total to £100.
Your session includes:
3 digital photographs
You'll receive 3 digital images to keep forever, giving you beautiful photographs to print, frame, share with grandparents or use for your Christmas cards.
If you fall in love with more than the 3 included images, you'll also have the opportunity to purchase additional photographs after your session.
When do bookings open?
Bookings open on 16th September 2026.

My Christmas Mini Sessions have always been extremely limited, and I don't want to disappoint anyone who leaves it until the last minute.

Christmas Mini Sessions in Llanelli
My Christmas Mini Sessions take place at my photography studio in Llanelli, South Wales.
I'm also conveniently located for families travelling from Swansea and the surrounding areas, so if you're looking for Christmas photography near Swansea, you don't have to travel far.
The studio will be transformed into a cosy Christmas setting where we can create beautiful festive photographs without having to worry about the Welsh weather!
No rain.
No muddy shoes.
Just Christmas magic.
Why book Christmas Mini Sessions?
Because your children won't be this age forever.
Every Christmas they change a little bit more.
The way they believe in Father Christmas.
The excitement when they see the Christmas tree.
Their favourite Christmas pyjamas.
The little faces they pull when they're asked to smile.

One day you'll look back at these photographs and remember exactly who they were at this age.
And that's why I love Christmas photography so much.
It's not really about the Christmas decorations.
It's about remembering your children exactly as they are right now.
What should we wear for our Christmas Mini Session?
For this year's classic Christmas setup, I'd recommend choosing outfits that complement the traditional, cosy feel of the set.
Think:
Creams, whites, browns, greens, burgundy, navy, denim, tartan and classic knitwear.
You don't have to dress everyone identically.
In fact, I'd recommend coordinating rather than matching.
Textures work beautifully too — think chunky knits, corduroy, wool, velvet, denim and traditional Christmas fabrics.
If you're unsure what to wear, don't panic.
I'll be sharing more styling inspiration as we get closer to the sessions.
Can adults be included?
Absolutely!
Christmas Mini Sessions can include up to 2 adults and 3 children, so parents can be photographed with their children as well as getting photographs of the children individually and together.
If you've been meaning to get a photograph of your whole family, Christmas is the perfect excuse.
What makes these Christmas Mini Sessions different?
I don't want to create photographs that look like they've been pulled straight from a Christmas prop catalogue.
I'm much more interested in creating photographs that feel warm, timeless and nostalgic.
This year's inspiration comes from classic Ralph Lauren styling and those beautiful 90s American Christmas films where everything feels cosy, traditional and a little bit magical.
It's festive, but still very much in keeping with my relaxed photography style.
The decorations are there to create the atmosphere.
Your family is the focus.
